Homes

New homes, alterations and additions to existing homes, restoration of historical homes, renovations to traditional homes and homesteads. Townhouses and flats, internal fit-outs and remodeling. Kitchen and bathroom renovations and futureproofing for mobility impairment. Highly energy efficient super insulated homes including passive house principles, but incorporating active house requirements. Period home colour consultancy. Wine cellars, home theatres and storage solutions. Work includes experience with various construction systems including light timber frame, brick, steel and structural insulated panel (SIP) construction, light and heavy roofs, green roofs, suspended timber and concrete floors as well as experience with a wide range of cladding systems and proprietary finishes.

Commercial

Wine cellars, honey processing, hospital operating theatres, schools, conference centres and wedding venues, archives, libraries and aged care facilities.

Historical

My first experience with traditional Architecture was with Victorian row-house restoration and with renovation of Cape Dutch farm homesteads. I grew up in a corner bay villa and have designed many traditional villa style homes and have renovated, for clients and for myself, many old homes. Past work has included work on buildings dating from the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. I can provide traditional colours and mouldings advice for old buildings. I have a deep understanding of traditional building construction materials and methods. Whether restoration or renovation, I can make sure your old building is treated in a sympathetic way.
